We have upgraded CalPlanning and made other infrastructure changes to improve system performance and reliability. These changes also restore compatibility with newer browsers and operating systems. Because this is an upgrade to a new environment, every planner will need to do some first-time setup.
-
Required setup
CalPlanning Network and Browser Requirements
-
CalPlanning is available from your browser. We recommend using the latest version of the browser available
-
When you are away from campus, you must connect with Global Protect (bSecure Remote Access VPN).
-
If connecting directly from a web browser does not work, you may connect via Citrix
-
If you experience issues, the Help Desk or CalPlanning team may ask you to try Citrix to troubleshoot whether the problem is with your browser.
New Look and Feel
There is a new look to the CalPlanning home page.

-
As with the previous version, use the Explore button to access the report templates.
-
The Recents pane in the upper left shows recently used report templates.
-
Planners can access CalPlan and HCP from the Applications pane in the lower left. Planning is a summary title for CalPlan and HCP; it is not an application.
-
The Favorites pane in the upper right shows report templates that you have marked as Favorites so you can access them with a single click. Learn to create Favorites
-
The Announcements pane in the lower right shows any system announcements.
