Overview
The new Compensation Drill Through form allows you to view your data beginning at a summary level and drill down to detailed data and return to summary level. While viewing detailed data at the employee level, you can make updates if needed. The form shows a summary of compensation and benefits for each unique combination of DeptID, fund bucket, and chartfield1.

Open the Compensation Drill Through form
To access the form, select Compensation Drill Through from My Task List
The form presents the HCP accounts for the selected entity, organized by DeptID, fund bucket, and chartfield1.
Drill down to account details
To drill into the details, right-click on an account and select Account _Details_ByEmpl.
Account Details
The Account Details shows a list of all employees followed by a summary by job code, and finally a summary of all job codes.
More detail about an employee
To see more details about a specific employee, right-click on the employee and select Edit EE Details.
With the Total Empl by Entity – Account Drill through form, you can get summary level reporting in real time. There is no need to wait for the data load that happens every three hours in the HCP reporting module.
Employee Details Drill Through
The Employee Details Drillthrough form allows you to update the Monthly Pay Rate and/or Distributions, just as you would on the Manage Existing Employees and Job Codes form. The Salary Expense, Benefits, and Total Comp tabs are calculated, so you cannot make edits on those tabs.
Return to Summary Level
The form presents breadcrumbs in the upper left corner to show the path followed to get to the current view. Select any link to return to the summary level you want to view.
Forms and data are connected and integrated
If the entity presented has pooled positions and/or DeptID comp adjustments, the Account Details form presents those.
Go to the detail form
- Right-click on an employee to go to Manage Existing Employees and Job Codes
- Right-click on a DeptID adjustment to go to DeptID Comp Adjustments
- Right-click on a pooled employee position to go to Create and Manage HCP Pooled Positions
Data is updated in real time
Data entered in one form will be immediately present on all other relevant forms. For example, if you update the monthly pay rate for an employee on the Employee Details Drillthrough form, the update is also present on the Manage Existing Employees and Job Codes form.
Use the form in Smart View for Planning
The Compensation Drill Through form is also available in Smart View for Planning.

Open the HCP Planner Task List. You’ll find the form at the bottom of the list
