Exercise 1: Set Defaults and Open a Form
Citrix users only
If you are using Citrix, go to: https://citrix.berkeley.edu/vpn/index.html and log in. Select the CalPlanning-Training button. Then go to step 2.
Exercise
1. You can use Chrome, Firefox or Microsoft Edge. Internet Explorer is not supported; do not attempt to use this browser. Go to https://calpln-rptportal-training.berkeley.edu/workspace/index.jsp to launch Oracle Enterprise Performance Management System in the Training environment.
2. Enter your CalNet ID and password and select Log On.
3. From the menu, select Navigate \ Applications \ Planning \ CalPlan.
4. From the menu, select File \ Preferences.
- Select Planning in the left panel
- Select the User Variable Options tab
- Type the entity you want in the Selected Member text box or click the … to open the Member Selection dialog box
- Navigate to the Entity you want
- Select the Add button
- Select OK
6. Select the white OK button in the lower right to Save the User Variable Options and keep the Preferences dialog box open.
7. Select the Financial Reporting buttonin the left panel.
8. Select On in the User Point of View section.
9. Select OK.
10. Select the triangle to the left of CalPlan Budget Process Task List.
11. Select Forecast & Budget News and Tips.
12. Select Enter Data. Now you can see the CalPlan forms for entering data.
13. Select Account Intersection Form (AIF).
14. Select the Task Instructions tab at the top of the form and read the information about the form.
15. Select the Task – Account Intersection Form (AIF) tab to return to the form.
16. Select each of the tabs at the top of the form and review the information. You should see cells with a white background in all of the tabs except for Comp Expense, which will be gray. Why is that?
