Smart View and Planning Ribbons

Smart View Ribbon

Once Smart View is installed on your desktop or accessed via Citrix, Smart View is added to the Excel menu.

Start

Panel

Used to connect and disconnect to and from CalPlanning servers and databases

Connections

Displays active or recently used connections

Edit

Undo / Redo

Undo/Redo the previous ad hoc operation. Once data is submitted, these commands are unavailable

Copy / Paste

Just like Excel, however will not paste values a second time

Functions

Allows you to open the POV Manager or build a function formula

Data

Refresh

Refresh the data on the current worksheet from the data source

Submit Data

Submits data back to the Planning database (CalPlan or HCP). Be careful, there is no Undo. This icon only works at planning-level intersections

General

Options

Used to set a variety of preferences for working in Smart View

Sheet Info

Displays whether the sheet has an active connection and if so, to which server, application and database

Once you connect to Oracle® Hyperion Planning, Fusion Edition, Planning is added to the Excel menu to the right of Smart View.

Displays a list of drill through reports for the selected cell

Sends data to the CalPlanning database (CalPlan or HCP)
