Updates to Plan Databases and Reporting Databases
Plan data is updated in the planning databases (CalPlan and HCP) immediately upon entry.
Plan data is copied to the reporting databases (CalRptg and HCP Rptg) every three hours, from 9am to 9pm.
Plan Data Updates
Immediate Updates
Data that you enter in the CalPlan and HCP forms updates the CalPlan and HCP databases immediately. To see aggregated data in CalPlan immediately, run a report from the CalPlan report template repository.
Updates Every 3 Hours
Every 3 hours from 9AM to 9PM daily, these updates are made:
- Detail data in HCP is summarized and loaded to CalPlan. You can see this data in the Comp Expense tabs of the CalPlan forms.
- Summarized data from HCP is loaded to CalPlan (Comp Expenses) and HCPRptg
- Detail data from CalPlan is summarized and loaded to CalRptg
Caution
To avoid an incomplete refresh of your data, do not run CalPlanning reports (CalPlan, CalRptg, HCPRptg and Smart View) for the first 15 minutes of the push hours.

Actual Data Updates
- Actual data is updated in the CalRptg and HCPRptg reporting databases nightly
- Actual data is updated in the CalPlan planning application database on a monthly basis following the close in BFS
