Use of Reserves

The Use of Reserves tab allows planners to show how the organization plans to spend reserves. To keep submissions at a high level, there is a limit of five rows for each category of reserve spending:

  • Revenue Generating
  • Capital Projects
  • Other Strategic Purpose
  • Funding Loss Mitigation

Enter Data

1. With the Budget Template open, select the Use of Reserves tab.

2. As with the Budget Template, you must enter data at the L4 Department level. If you want to enter data once for the Division, select a single L4 Department to enter the data. It is not possible to edit the labels in the first column.

3. From the Entity drop-down list, select an L4 department (in black type) to enter your use of reserves.

4. Click the Go button to fetch data for the selected entity.

5. Enter numeric data for the three years shown.

6. In the Comments column, enter the purpose for the reserve spending.

7. Click the Save button.

8. To see data aggregated, use the Entity drop-down to select an L3 Division and click the Go button.
