The CalPlanning system uses Actuals data from Berkeley Financial System (BFS) and UCPath Human Capital Management (HCM) along with plan data that is entered by planners.
CalPlanning Internal Data Loads
Data within CalPlanning is updated every three hours:
- 9AM
- 12PM
- 3PM
- 6PM
- 9PM
To avoid an incomplete refresh of your data, do not run CalPlanning reports (CalPlan, CalRptg, HCPRptg and Smart View) for the first 15 minutes of the push hours.
- Data from HCP is summarized and loaded to CalPlan
- Data from HCP is loaded to HCPRptg
- Data from CalPlan is loaded to CalRptg
CalPlanning External Data Loads
- On a nightly basis, Actuals data from BFS is loaded to CalRptg
- On a monthly basis, Actuals data is loaded to HCPRptg
- On a monthly basis when BFS closes, Actuals data is loaded to CalPlan Forecast Working to update the forecast with Actuals.
- On a monthly basis when UCPath Payroll closes, Actuals data is loaded to HCP Forecast Working to update the forecast with Actuals.
